Pool Time

What a nice we had. Yesterday was the Lobsterfest in Niantic. If you grew up in East Lyme, you went to Lobsterfest. Sure every year the crowds are getting smaller and smaller. The event is sponsored by or put on by the Lions Club and its a good cause... but the cost of the lobster isn't worth it anymore... apparently. I, personally, enjoyed my lobster. I have been desensitizing myself to my shellfish allergy... and because it's not severe, I have been successful. But it was my first and probably only attempt at 'digging for the meat' of the lobster. Next time, I will just stick with the lazy man's lobster or a lobster roll.

And today was a nice first. It sure can get hot in the summer... and I sure wished I knew someone with a pool... and I do!!!! My brother Joel lives in a condo complex with a pool.. so today it was a fun family day. Dan and I packed up Evan and his stuff... including his ladybug inflatable floaty. And joined Joel and Emma and my friend Becky and her kids and Joel's friend Ed and his family... and my dad came and so did Emma's Mary grandma (also known at Becky's mom). So we did some splish splashing in the pool.

It was a very crowded pool (for this pool more than 5 people is crowded). Evan took his snoozer as we arrived and woke up ready to go. And go he went. He had that initial shock of water... but enjoyed himself floating in the pool. He enjoyed himself so much that he started lounging and sucking his thumb.

We took plenty of photos with Joel's camera. Now we just have to wait to get them off the camera... if you know Joel, it may be awhile. But there were some great photos, so I'll be sure to share soon.

So now my angel is sleeping and I'll soon be joining him. But first it's time to get ready for the work day... Mondays... who likes them!!!
