Such is life....

Such is life... you blink and it passes by.  I learned an important life lesson to treasure every moment you have on this earth because you just never know how long you are meant to be here.  I may only have 2 brothers, but my 10 cousins are like siblings to me.  So when my cousin was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer at the age of 30, it was a shock.  I had such hope but yet knew that stage 4 is hard to fight.  He left behind a young bride and his 1 yr old son after only 90 days after his diagnosis.  His wife has been on a wonderful mission to educate others on lung cancer in non-smokers.  In fact, here are some articles that she contributing to in honor of my cousin.

Burnaby non-smoker hit with fatal lung cancer :  as found in BURNABY NOW

When I got that phone call that Thursday morning, I knew there wasn't anything I could do for him anymore.  I could only do whatever I could for his family.  But now, that time has passed, I commend those he left behind for keeping his memory alive and for spreading the word on what can still be done for many others who find themselves battling cancer.

His sister in law took it upon her herself to raise money for a cause close to her heart.  And her act of selfishness will soon be visible now that she met her goal of $10,000 in less than 4 weeks... and will be shaving her head.

Life is short and it happens around you whether you are ready to live it or not.  So be sure to say "I love you".  Be sure to pray for those you care about and those you don't.  Because life happens and you can do the best you can with the hand you are dealt.

I love and appreciate my family: my children and husband, my brothers and their families, my father, my aunts, my uncles, my cousins, my friends, my loved ones and the stranger who says hi... I love my life.  It may not be perfect but it's filled with love.  So do what you can and be to live life before it happens.
