Annual Traditions

What a fast fun-filled packed weekend we had :) Saturday was a pool party for Emma's birthday. It was nice and small and Evan had a ball. He loves water and pools and swimming (or splashing around). Last year, Evan used a floating ladybug and sat upright. This year, as he weighs in almost 30lbs, we are trying a float suit.... you heard me right.

It's a funny looking suit, yes, but it will help. Not perfect. We'll have to find him a floaty.... like a duck ring or something. As you can see, Evan is getting ready to jump into the pool. But this is a game that Evan fully enjoyed and understood. He'd say "jump" and wait for either Dan or myself to say "Jump" and then he'd take that leap of faith!! It was great!!!

Then it was off to the annual Fireworks. We walked down towards the river and found a nice little place to sit and watch the show.

9:25pm
9:35pm

9:40pm
And the show ended around 10pm... and he stayed asleep for the hike home as well... and even slept in the next morning... SWEET!!!

And that was just our Saturday!!
