As expected, Haley truly enjoyed her first bites of cereal. So much so, that she would grab the spoon and shove it into her mouth!! I couldn't keep up with her appetite. Unfortunately, her tiredness overruled hunger and she only ate half the meal.
And interesting thing to note during Haley's meal is that 'perhaps thumb sucking is hereditary'. I used to do it as a child. Evan does it now only with his panda. But the first day Evan found his thumb, he started sleeping through the night :) Haley began sleeping through the night weeks before she discovered her thumb. But on the ides of September, Haley began sucking her thumb. And this week, she has perfected the ease of putting her thumb into her mouth in a single shot!!!
And we don't know if she's a lefty or a righty... she actually tends to switch which hand she uses???????
So what else is new since Haley got her ears pierced? Nothing and everything? Every day it feels like Haley is learning something... like getting better at sitting in her bumbo... or going hiking at Bluff Point and watching the sunset----and getting bitten by a mosquito.
We also made a trip down to NJ to visit family for a 90th birthday. And it was the first time that I allowed Haley to be held by strangers (to me). I was busy at the party with the party games and chasing down Evan. And my family was very happy to hold Haley. And every once in a while I'd loose track of her and I'd find her in the arms of someone I didn't know.... But Haley was happy. and she was the star of the show b/c she did go to anyone and was happy :)
I'll post some new photos now :)
