Luckily, Dan started Evan's day by taking him to play some basketball. That certainly helped in tiring him out. Then Evan and I went shopping. And shopping on a mission. We are looking for a child's flashlight or two.... on for Evan and one for his buddy Chris (who's birthday is coming). We couldn't find the flashlight but we found pull-ups for Evan (who's refusing anything to do with leaving the diapers behind) and a bed rail for Evan's big boy bed. That'll be another blog entry when he finally gets in there.
But after our morning of errands and our 'growth spurt type of lunch', Evan took a nice 2+ hr nap. And then upon
The park also has a soccer field and a little track. Ms. Emma decided to run around the track and left us behind. I would've gotten a photo or video, but she took off so fast I couldn't. And poor Evan was trying to keep up but his little legs left him behind. Even my dad tried to catch up with her by cutting across the field but alas, we were too slow.... Emma left us behind and didn't look back.... seriously, she didn't look back :)
After we froze at the park, we headed back to the house for dinner. And Evan ate everything and behaved so well.... guess we'll have to have people over for dinner more often. It helped to have Emma, his role model, there eating everything and more.
The day is over and now I'm pooped. I napped in the afternoon but need more sleep.... and then I get to do it all over again next Sunday when Dan goes for another baseball draft... I sure hope he knows how lucky he is to have such an understanding wife!!! :)
