Baby #2

So I was looking back at the postings... and realized I wrote about holidays, illnesses and snow... but only once mentioned that we are expecting baby #2. I am just entering my sixth month and I still don't think it's sunken in. But it will tomorrow. Tomorrow I go for my monthly ultrasound. But tomorrow isn't the day we find out the sex.... that already happened last month!!

It's a GIRL!!! We found out the week before Christmas when things were chaotic. So I forgot to mention it. But I did ask the technician if she was sure... and she even pointed out the exact anatomy. And since I will be going for monthly ultrasounds, I will ask each time :)

We are teaching Evan that the baby is on the way. And that he'll have a baby sister. I am sure he doesn't fully understand. But hopefully, the transition won't be too difficult for him.

The winter of SNOW!!

As the weekend came, so did the snow. I do believe our weekly snowfall came on a weekend... AGAIN... but for a change, I didn't have to do the shoveling. OK... so Dan had pneumonia and he's getting better. So the lesser of two evils... the man with pneumonia is both lungs shovels or the pregnant woman... so we figured I'll do it until I can't... and until Dan got better.

That day came.... two days in a row. Dan shoveled yesterday the 2-3 inches that fell... and again today the additional 3-4 inches. But today, Dan did not do it alone. He had a
little help... a little helper... a very little helper. Just check out the photos.....

It was very cute to watch daddy teach his son to shovel. And no, Evan did not have his own snow shovel. He was sporting his own sand shovel from his beach collection. It was easier than using the 5 foot long shovel Dan was using.

The funny part of the day was not watch Evan shoveling snow; or watching Evan falling into the snow piles and trying to get up; it was the watching Evan struggle and throw tantrums b/c he didn't want to wear his boots in the snow... and then by the time the driveway was cleared of snow, Evan didn't want to come back in. He did take a LONG NAP afterwards... so everyone had a good day!
